Mission Statement
The Community Outreach Center is a results-focused and collaborative effort to provide people in our community with access to critical resources and life changing programs.
The COC’s objectives:
Sobriety in our neighborhoods
Safe and clean streets
Support for anyone in need of life recovery
Spiritual transformation in people
What we do:
Build partnerships with local recovery programs and agencies (triage system for life recovery)
Engage in community outreach efforts (Adopt a Block, Laundry Love, Youth Fairs, Triple A, Seasonal Events)
Influence in positive community change (Avenue Trade School, uniting faith-based community, serving the marginalized)
Get Involved
2nd Saturday Adopt-a-Block, 9-11am: Help us clean-up the streets of the Avenue. Show up at Two Trees at 767 N. Ventura Ave. Bring a hat, water bottle, and working gloves if you got 'em. We’ll provide the cleaning supplies. Join us afterwards for breakfast burritos and fellowship!
2nd Saturday Laundry Love, 8:45-11am: Help us wash clothes for those in need at Mission Plaza Laundromat located at 110 N. Olive Street, Ste E, Ventura 93001. Bring lots of love and quarters if you have any spare to share.
Wednesday Avenue Prayer Walk, 10:30-noon: Intercede with us and help us bring light to dark spaces. Meet at Two Trees at 117 N Ventura Ave. Wear comfortable shoes and a hat.
